Stand Up Paddle Board Yoga : Balance, Flexibility, Strength
is a blend of the new sport of Stand Up Paddleboard (SUP) and the ancient practice of yoga. We use artisan studio boards year round designed to re-create the buoyancy and feel of water indoors. Adding water’s characteristics of float, fluidity and instability to the most basic yoga poses creates a significant balance challenge to beginner and regular practitioners, alike. And for the seasoned student, this is a refreshing way to deepen an understanding of yoga asanas (postures)… moving away from one’s known or established assumptions to a new place of inquiry. Indoor SUP Yoga requires that you engage your core and stay focused, or slowly slip off the board inches to the ground, surprised and laughing at yourself!
